Black and White, my favourite – so chic! The perfect combination for my Ghent sightseeing dress.
This 1950s inspired dress is made from a beautiful black vintage taffeta, and so it is perfect for a full skirt as it holds the shape wonderfully. I added a full crinoline underneath to give the skirt an extra lift too!
It’s all in the details, isn’t it? I adore the fine detailing on vintage frocks so this dress was decorated with ribbon and tiny bows.
Some diamonds added the finishing touch.
I stumbled upon this wonderful Ghent house and alley, a matching black and white background, perfect!
Till next time,

Nice job! The 40’s and 50’s were the heyday of fashion. Your pictures are really nice too.
Thank you! I love that era so I really enjoy making these clothes!!
Oooh, this one is truly stunning! I l really like the bow details… And much as I love vibrant colours, some things are perfect in simple black and white 😀
I agree, sometimes black and white is just so chic!
