Lady Diana Spencer

One of my favourite dresses ever is Lady Diana Spencer’s Wedding Dress. It was such an iconic dress, created by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, it was made from ivory silk taffeta and antique Carrickmacross lace from Queen Mary’s collection. Thousands of sequins and pearls were used for the finishing touch. Oh and I nearly forgot the train….25 feet!!

My version does not have the royal antique lace unfortunately, but I have used ivory silk taffeta, vintage lace and pearls, and the train is detachable, just like the original…..

I made a tulle and lace underskirt too…

The background tapestry I found in a junk shop, it is all stitched by hand and is perfect.

Someone spent hours and hours working on this,  I can appreciate all that effort!
