Wow! We had a crazy few days here in Ireland last week! The ‘Beast from the East ‘arrived and it brought with it snow, snow and more snow. So, we took advantage of the conditions, grabbed the vintage skis and ski gear and off we went.
We even had time between the snow storms to build a snowman, but he didn’t last for long, soon the snow had covered him!
It was snowing quite heavily again so we took a few photos before the blizzard really took hold.
As you can see the snow was knee high at this point, and it was getting higher.
But now for a closer look at the Barbie vintage skiwear….
I love this baby blue vintage wool ski suit with fur trim and embroidery details, so cosy!
I think this 1960s ski wear is very James Bond, no?
Vintage wool dark green houndstooth with a bias cut bib front, with black ski pants. Chic and warm.
Last pic of the day before the snow got too heavy, Barbie Snow Angel!
Till next time!

Aaah, this is the problem with working in miniature… My abominable Snowbeastie was soon buried by more snowfall too! 😆 Barbie and friends are all set for the weather though – those are some seriously classy outfits, and I’m having trouble choosing a favourite! I think the 60s stripes might just have the edge though…
I adore 60s ski wear- so James Bond!!!
Oh yes… Better than the puffy ski suits people wear now (although probably less practical 😆)!
