Monasterboice in Co. Louth is famous for it’s High Crosses especially Muiredach’s High Cross. It is from the 10th or possibly 9th Century and really quite beautiful, and regarded as the finest High Cross in Ireland. The ruins are of an early Christian settlement.

It was back to Mellifont Abbey for these sunny photos. The 50s wriggle dress is light pink silk with ruffle neckline trim and bow. The swing coat is a fabulous pink and orange tweed, with bias cut pockets. A little pillbox hat finishes the look.
