It’s the start of Debs Season and I thought this little prom dress would be ideal for the night. I made the dress from an original prom dress, it’s a peach sheer with white flocked flowers, over a peachy soft satin….sweet! The skirt is gathered onto a fitted bodice with a gathered bust and bow detail- very 1950s prom.
Of course the dress needed a wrap too, I think she looks Debs ready now.
My backdrop was the beautiful Donegal Castle in Donegal town, what a fabulous castle.
Till next time,

Did I ever show you a photo of my prom dress. A friend and I wore vintage 50’s dresses. The other kids were horrified that we didn,t buy new dresses. I loved mine so much. Patty Simcox is wearing the same dress in the big dance scene in Grease, but hers as missing the over layer. Ice blue and poofy. I will search for a pic. Love these little dresses you create!! When are you going to Venice? I have lots to share. Hugs, Lisa

I’d love to see a photo of your prom dress! I loved that scene in Grease, but I also loved the original prom dress in Pretty in Pink before Andi cut it up!! We are heading to Venice next week, for 2 days, really looking forward to it.
Beautiful! I love prom-style dresses like this!
I adore vintage prom dresses too, all the frills in pastel colours…so pretty!
Definitely! I find myself a little short of occasions to wear them though… Perhaps I’ll pop mine on next time I head to the supermarket, just for kicks! 😆
Ha, yes! I’d love to arrive at my local supermarket in a vintage prom dress…
