If you are in Limerick a trip to the Flying Boat Museum in Foynes is a definite. It is a trip back to a time when air travel was impossibly glamorous.
Yes. This is a full size replica of a B314 Flying Boat, it has been recreated with amazing attention to detail, and you can go inside for a look around. I just couldn’t believe how much space passengers had!
Found our berth. We are ready to go. Each passenger had a bed on these flights.

The museum has some great travel posters and mementos from the golden age of aviation.
Then on for a quick visit to King John’s Castle in Limerick City. I loved this castle.
